Second Skin trailer is up

Back in March of 2007, Ren and I were filmed for the documentary “Second Skin”. It’s been along time, but the guys at Pure West Docs finally got the trailer together. It looks better than I expected it to, and I can’t wait to see it.

It follows the lives of seven gamers, and how MMORPGs have affected their lives.

I have no idea how much of the cut we made, or if we’re in it at all, but I think that if the film is as good as I think it will be, all gamers should watch it.

Episode 47 – TRAPPED!

A few days ago, we recorded episode 47. Editing the show wasn’t bad, there were only four edits. I export the show and….nothing. Hmm… I export again and….nothing. To make a long story short, people are reporting that the new version of GarageBand in iLife ’08 won’t export their podcasts! It goes through the stage of merging the tracks, but doesn’t go through the conversion process, or does go through it but creates a corrupt file.

I tried it on another Mac and the same thing happened.

So I only have one option – reedit the show using GarageBand 3. This is an unacceptable solution, but the only one I have at the moment. How many times am I going to have to edit this show with an older version of GarageBand before Apple fixes the problem?

Bronchitis, antibiotics, and why #45 isn’t out yet

So it’s been a while since I’ve written. Actually, it’s been a while since I did anything. As I mentioned on the forums and in the yet-to-be-released episode 45, I’ve had bronchitis. Usually things like this are just a minor inconvenience but this time it kept knocking me on my ass.

We recorded episode 45 and I started editing, but I found myself just not able to concentrate on the editing. I don’t know if it was a reaction to the antibiotics or what, but the same thing’s been happening to me at work. To make a long story short, I finally got over this whole thing, except for a little cough here and there, but it’s pretty much out of my system and my brain is back to normal. For someone who’s as active as I am, being sick is a terrible feeling.

That said, I got 25 minutes edited, I’ll have the rest done this weekend.
