-last.fm
I had a goal these last few months which was to rip my entire CD collection (something like 1200 of them) and see how much space it took up. The challenge has been fighting people who put in terrible Gracenote track names.
For example:
1) DO NOT put the name of the album in the name of every track. We know what the album name is.
2) Don’t put “Various” as the artist and have “Song title / Artist” as the name of the track.
3) Don’t misspell Japanese titles.
So the only solution is to look on the net for the proper track names and/or artists. The problem is that last.fm comes up in every single search, and everyone uses the same botched track listings that I got from Gracenote. I don’t go right to Amazon because they don’t always have the CDs I own since some of them are long out of print.
I’d like a -last.fm checkbox, please!
